William F. answered

Who made a difference in your life?

When I was 13 I went and lived with with mom’s parents (my grandparents). It was not by my choice and I was very unhappy and gave them a lot of grief and heartache. They kept after me with prayer and common sense about how to live, and as the years went by and I entered college, I realized that they actually loved me and cared for me. Their “rules and regulations” were not there to hurt or harass or control me, but were genuine acts of love to protect me and help me to live the life that God had intended me to live. The “prison” that I felt that I was in, was actually God’s way of calling me to Him. It was the very freedom I desperately wanted. I eventually became a Christian and believer because of it. Freedom came at the very foot of the cross. Freedom shown by the selfless acts of my grandparents. They showed genuine tough love and I am eternally grateful they didn’t give up on me when I was harsh to them.
